Stories, milestones, improvements, and updates from Camp Olmsted and Five Points Mission.

Celebrating 125 Years

For 125 years, Five Points Mission and Camp Olmsted have created opportunities for children, families, churches, and communities to gather, grow, and experience something meaningful.

This fall, we will celebrate that legacy with the unveiling of our historic bell and the launch of a new chapter for Olmsted.

Our anniversary theme, “Ring the Bell: Honoring the Legacy. Answering the Call.”, reflects both where we have been and our commitment to stewarding Olmsted for generations to come.

A Look Back at Summer Camp 2026

Summer 2026 brought another season of friendships, learning, adventure, and growth at Camp Olmsted.

This year, we welcomed 153 individual campers, including 90 campers experiencing Olmsted for the first time. Families participated in our Partial Day, Full Day, and Overnight Camp programs, while our new five-day overnight format created additional opportunities for campers to experience residential camp.

Through partnerships and scholarship support, including campership assistance for overnight campers, we were also able to help make the Olmsted experience accessible to more families.

We are grateful to every camper, parent, staff member, volunteer, partner, and supporter who helped make the summer possible.

Building for the Future

Caring for Camp Olmsted means investing not only in today's programs, but also in the property and facilities that will serve future generations.

Recent improvements have included continued work on our swimming pool and Pool House, upgrades throughout the Dining Hall, improvements to guest accommodations, and the addition of three pickleball courts.

We are also restoring our historic bell and continuing to evaluate future projects that will strengthen Olmsted as a destination for summer camp, retreats, recreation, ministry, and community gatherings.

Every improvement is part of a larger commitment: honoring what has been entrusted to us while preparing Olmsted for what comes next.
