Give a Child the Camp Experience
Summer camp can create memories and experiences that last far beyond one week.
At Camp Olmsted, children have opportunities to build friendships, explore new interests, experience the outdoors, grow in independence, and simply enjoy being a kid in a safe and supportive environment.
Financial assistance and campership support help make those experiences possible for families who may otherwise be unable to participate.
Your generosity helps support camp scholarships, meals, programming, activity supplies, transportation, staffing, and the many resources needed to create a meaningful summer experience.
Camp Olmsted has welcomed generations of campers, retreat guests, churches, families, and community organizations.
Maintaining a historic camp and retreat center requires continual care and investment.
Your support helps us maintain and improve our cabins, guest houses, Dining Hall, recreational spaces, swimming pool, grounds, utilities, and other facilities that make camp and retreat experiences possible.
Every improvement helps preserve Olmsted while preparing the property to serve future generations.
The Anna P. Delson Fund supports the Five Points Mission camp scholarship program and helps children experience the joy of attending Camp Olmsted.
Anna grew up in North Dakota, where summer camp was one of the highlights of her childhood. She later became a dedicated teacher and longtime member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church.
For many years, Anna helped lead the church's rummage sale efforts, which raised funds to help send children to Camp Olmsted.
When the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the annual sale from taking place, Anna's children established the fund in 2021 in honor of their mother's commitment to making camp accessible to children.
Through this fund, Anna's legacy continues every time another child has the opportunity to experience camp.
